(November 24, 2016)— 2016 has come and is almost gone, but there’s still time for an unforgettable trip to Inn of the Mountain Gods this December as the resort and casino welcomes best-selling country singer Gary Allan on Friday, Dec. 2 in addition to a special Christmas menu and the elegant New Year’s Eve Party, on Dec. 31 at 6:30 p.m.
Despite being born in the suburbs of Los Angeles, Gary Allan has cemented himself as one of country music’s best acts with his uniquely emotional brand of honky-tonk country. After making his way to Nashville in 1995 Gary Allan signed to Decca Records, where he has since released nine studio albums, including seven top ten albums and eight top 10 singles.
A man who has seen his share of tough times, Allan is best known for the unprecedented amount of emotion injected into each of his efforts. His 2005 number one album “Tough All Over” deals directly with the sudden suicide of Allan’s wife and the subsequent grief he suffered. Allan’s most recent single, “Do You Wish It Was Me” off his untitled 10th album, is reminiscent of a young Tim McGraw with a fresh sense of vulnerability accompanying the emotional lyrics. Gathering of Nations is celebrating the holidays with a special international Christmas menu from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Guests can choose from an eclectic array of selections from around the world, such as Japanese Yakisoba Chicken, Kielbasa Sausage, Barbacoa De Cachete or fresh carved baked orange glazed coffee pit ham. Entrance to the Christmas Day Buffet is $29.99 for adults, $24.99 for seniors and $16.99 for children under 12.
Wendell’s Steak & Seafood is also opening it’s doors for a special Christmas Brunch. Open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 25, the Christmas Brunch menu features plenty of exquisite holiday fares to choose from, such as honey ginger glazed Virginia baked ham, cinnamon maple glazed sweet potato casserole or classic snow crab. Christmas brunch is $47.99 per adult, $38.99 for seniors and $20.99 for children under 12. Reservations are highly recommended.
Bid farewell to the old and ring in the new at Inn of the Mountain Gods’ New Year’s Eve Party, 6:30 p.m. to 1 a.m., Dec. 31-Jan. 1. The evening kicks off with a gourmet dinner with choices like smoked salmon and carved prime rib followed by music from DJ Frizzo and live performances from the likes of JMA & the Hard Livin’ Band, Abe Mac Band, and Hillbilly Starz before a champagne toast at midnight. Additionally, the evening will feature more than $70,000 in cash and prizes. This 21 and older event is $125 with limited seating.
