John Michael Montgomery – Friday, Nov. 8
Part of the ‘90s wave of honky-tonk hitmakers that ushered country music to new commercial heights, John Michael Montgomery made his name primarily as a romantic balladeer. Yet, despite his contemporary leanings, his vocal style remained cemented in country tradition. He started performing with his father’s band when he was just five years-old, and spent his youth performing in the local honky-tonk circuit until he was discovered at his favorite venue in Lexington, Ky. Ramón Ayala – Saturday, Nov. 30
“King of the Accordion” Ramón Ayala is headed for the stage at Inn of the Mountain Gods Saturday, Nov. 30. The Mexican musician, composer and songwriter of Norteño and Conjunto music is a master accordionist, having played for more than 40 years, recorded over 113 albums and taken home four Grammy awards. Ayala played a major role in the modernization of Conjunto music, forging a distinct sound and compiling a roster of songs that have been covered by countless Latin artists over the years. Inn of the Mountain Gods Hosts 8th Annual Stepping into a Better You Health & Wellness Fair

MESCALERO, N.M. (October 2, 2019) — Inn of the Mountain Gods will host the 8th Annual Stepping into a Better You Health & Wellness Fair Saturday, Oct. 19 with free family events from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The annual health and wellness event includes a variety of informational booths, free fitness classes and the opportunity for attendees to participate in their own health with a 5K walk/run.

“Our goal is to help educate our community about the ample health care resources and options that are available in our area,” said Frizzell Frizzell Jr., Chief Operating Officer at Inn of the Mountain Gods. “Residents should know that they don’t have to drive all the way to Albuquerque or El Paso to find top-tier health care services. We have some of the best right here.”

Registration begins at 1:30 p.m. for a fun “5K Color Burst” walk/run, which kicks off at 2 p.m. Zumba and Mixxedfit® classes will be open to the public between noon and 2 p.m.

The health fair offers attendees an opportunity to gather important information on health and wellness, including alternative treatments and medicines and men’s and women’s health. Attendees can also donate blood, get a mammogram, have their vision checked, and get their flu shot. Entry to the event is free.

Inn of the Mountain Gods Awarded AAA Four Diamond Award Third Year in a Row

Inn of the Mountain Gods Hosts Annual Star Spangled Celebration

MESCALERO, N.M. (July 1, 2019)—This Independence Day, premier resort Inn of the Mountain Gods will light up the night sky with the largest firework show in New Mexico on Thursday, July 4.

The Star Spangled Celebration kicks off at 3 p.m. with fireworks after dusk.  Guests can enjoy good food and icy cold beverages lakeside while listening to live music and right sunset, guests can watch the dazzling firework display over Lake Mescalero. Inflatable jumping balloons and other family-friendly attractions are also available.

William Hill US and Mescalero Apache Tribe Announce New Sports Book at Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort & Casino in New Mexico

INN OF THE MOUNTAIN GODS TO HOST ANNUAL GUS MACKER TOURNAMENT

MESCALERO, N.M. (May 29, 2019) — Inn of the Mountain Gods is set to host the largest Gus Macker tournament in New Mexico, Saturday, June 1 through Sunday, June 2.

Each team must have at least four players on their roster, with three players on the court at a time. Teams will be computer matched into divisions by age and gender, with male and female divisions for juniors 18 and under, adults 19 and older and a top division reserved for the most skilled players.

All proceeds will benefit the Boys and Girls Club and the Stepping Into a Better You Health Fair. The tournament will also feature a slam-dunk competition and 3-point shootout where teams will compete for $1,500 in prizes. Visit Macker.com for more information on rules and registration.

Aside from two days of basketball action, New Mexico’s Lieutenant Governor Howie Morales will host the opening ceremonies and will shoot the opening shot, and three-time NBA champion A.C. Green will be signing autographs. The tournament is free to attend for spectators.
