The wellbeing of our guests, team members and the entire community is our highest priority. In consideration of New Mexico State and National regulations, the Sovereign Nation of the Mescalero Apache Tribe has chosen to take extra precautions while protecting our guests, team members, and community.

11/16/20 Update: Inn of the Mountain Gods and Casino Apache will remain open seven days a week. The health and safety of our guests, team and community remain our top priority and our COVID-19 safety policies and practices will continue to be enforced. Click the “FAQs” tab for a full list of our health and safety mandates. We look forward to having you as our guest.

Health and Safety Precautions

In addition to routine cleaning, Inn of the Mountain Gods and Casino Apache have implemented enhanced cleaning procedures. These include:

  • Frequently sanitizing door handles, gaming machines courtesy phones, tables, chairs, restrooms, handrails, etc. multiple times a day
  • Posting safety and social distancing signage throughout our properties
  • Installing plexiglass shields in close contact areas, such as the Apache Spirit Club booth, cashier cages and restaurants
  • Requiring face masks be worn properly at all times by guests and team members
  • Adding additional hand-sanitizing stations throughout our properties
  • Nightly cleaning with Electrostatic disinfectant spray on surfaces.

Yes, masks or other CDC-approved face coverings are required when at Inn of the Mountain Gods and Casino Apache. For the safety of our guests and team members, masks should only be removed if you are actively eating or drinking.

Our security team will be conducting temperature checks for all of our guests and team members before entering the property. Anyone with a temperature of 100.0℉ or over won’t be allowed into the property and will be asked to seek care from their healthcare provider.

Our team has been working hard to provide our players with the same great gaming experience they love while keeping everyone safe. New safety procedures include:

  • Limiting the casino floor to a 50% occupancy rate to safely allow for social distancing between guests
  • A reconfigured casino floor to encourage social distancing
  • Limiting the number of guests to 3 players per table game and closing every other table game at Inn of the Mountain Gods to encourage social distancing
  • Closing every other slot machine to adhere to social distancing standards
  • Dedicated team members who will frequently clean and sanitize all gaming areas, slot machines and table games

All guests, along with team members, will be required to wear CDC-approved face masks or coverings when visiting our properties. Please stay home and reschedule your visit for a later date if you’re not feeling well.

While visiting our properties you’ll find hand sanitizer stations available for use throughout the property. Additionally, each restroom will have instructions posted regarding handwashing etiquette to reduce the spread of germs. You can also expect signage throughout the property and in restrooms as reminders of proper handwashing protocols, personal mask application and disposal as well as reminders to cover sneezes and coughs. For their own peace of mind, guests are also encouraged to bring personal hand sanitizer and facial tissue.

Throughout Casino Apache and Inn of the Mountain Gods guests will see stanchions to signify the amount of distance they should keep between other people not in their group. This will be expected in line queuing and on the casino floor.

Smoking is not permitted at Casino Apache or Inn of the Mountain Gods at this time. Please refrain from smoking within 20 feet of the building entrances and on the casino floor.

No, your Apache Spirit Club tier status was not affected by our closures. Card statuses are only adjusted once a year in January.

We remain committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for our guests and team members. At this time, tickets for shows are grouped into and sold as “pods” to promote social distancing between groups. We STRONGLY encourage you to buy your tickets online ahead of time and have them downloaded prior to arriving on-property.

Other new safety procedures include:

  • Requiring concertgoers to wear a CDC-approved mask or other CDC-approved face covering that covers the mouth and nose throughout the duration of the concert
  • A reconfigured showroom to encourage social distancing
  • Enforcing social distancing while entering the venue and during the show
  • Requiring concertgoers to stay at their purchased seat for the duration of the concert
  • No longer allowing smoking in the venue. Inn of the Mountain Gods is a smoke-free property.
