Health & Safety Updates

The wellbeing of our guests, team members and the entire community is our highest priority. In consideration of New Mexico State and National regulations, the Sovereign Nation of the Mescalero Apache Tribe has chosen to take extra precautions while protecting our guests, team members, and community.

12/08/21 Update: Inn of the Mountain Gods and Casino Apache requires that guests wear CDC-approved face masks or coverings. Team members are required to wear CDC-approved facemasks or coverings, on-property. The health and safety of our guests, team and community remain our top priority and our COVID-19 safety policies and practices will continue to be enforced. Health and Safety Precautions

In addition to routine cleaning, Inn of the Mountain Gods and Casino Apache are continuing to implement enhanced cleaning procedures. These include:

  • Frequently sanitizing door handles, gaming machines courtesy phones, tables, chairs, restrooms, handrails, etc. multiple times a day
  • Posting safety and social distancing signage throughout our properties 
  • Installing plexiglass shields in close contact areas, such as the Apache Spirit Club booth, cashier cages and restaurants
  • Requiring face masks be worn properly at all times by guests and team members
  • Adding additional hand-sanitizing stations throughout our properties
  • Nightly cleaning with Electrostatic disinfectant spray on surfaces.

Effective Tuesday, December 8 CDC-approved face masks or coverings are required for all guests, and required for team members, to wear on-property except when actively eating or drinking.

We are not doing temperature checks at this time.

Our team has been working hard to provide our players with the same great gaming experience they love while keeping everyone safe. New safety procedures include:

  • Requiring face masks be worn properly at all times by guests. Team members are required to wear them.
  • A reconfigured casino floor to encourage social distancing.
  • Dedicated team members who will frequently clean and sanitize all gaming areas, slot machines and table games.
  • Guests are required to wear CDC-approved face masks or coverings on-property except when actively eating or drinking.

  • Please stay home and reschedule your visit for a later date if you’re not feeling well.
  • While visiting our properties you’ll find hand sanitizer stations available for use throughout the property.

Smoking is not permitted at Casino Apache or Inn of the Mountain Gods at this time. Please refrain from smoking within 20 feet of the building entrances and on the casino floor.

No, your Apache Spirit Club tier status was not affected by our closures. Card statuses are only adjusted once a year in January.

We remain committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for our guests and team members. At this time, tickets for shows are grouped into and sold as “pods” to promote social distancing between groups. We STRONGLY encourage you to buy your tickets online ahead of time and have them downloaded prior to arriving on-property.

Other new safety procedures include:

  • Concertgoers are required to wear a CDC-approved face mask or other CDC-approved face covering that covers the mouth and nose throughout the duration of the concert
  • A reconfigured showroom to encourage social distancing
  • Requesting social distancing while entering the venue and during the show
  • Requiring concertgoers to stay at their purchased seat for the duration of the concert
  • No longer allowing smoking in the venue. Inn of the Mountain Gods is a smoke-free property.

Concert Best Practices

Now that you’ve secured tickets to see your favorite artist perform at Inn of the Mountain Gods, it’s time to get ready for the show. To make sure all fans in the audience have a great time, there’s a few things to remember. Review our concert checklist to make sure your experience is unforgettable:

  • Guests are recommended but not required to wear a CDC-approved mask
  • All e-tickets must be downloaded prior to arriving on-property
  • All paper ticket holders must have their own ticket when entering the venue
  • Concert doors open one hour prior to show time
  • Maintain 6 feet of distance when entering the venue and throughout the show; sit with who you came with
  • Smoking is not permitted in the venue at this time.
  • The box office is located near the convention center.

Hours of Operation

Casino Apache’s casino floor is open 24/7 daily. Table games at Casino Apache are not open at this time.

The casino at Inn of the Mountain Gods is open daily 24/7.

Table games at Inn of the Mountain Gods are open 10am – 2am Sunday – Thursday and 10am – 4am Friday & Saturday.

The poker room inside the casino is now open Thursday – Sunday, 4pm – 2am with limited occupancy. Face masks must be worn at all times inside the poker room and on the casino floor.

The Sportsbook at The Inn is open Monday – Friday from 11am – 8pm and Saturday – Sunday from from 8am – 10pm. However, our kiosk sports betting is available during all casino operating hours.

Yes, the hotel is open. Reservations are required.

We currently allow and welcome all out of state visitors to stay at the Inn of the Mountain Gods. Until further notice, anyone coming from out of state will be welcomed as we have worked tirelessly to ensure every guest’s health and safety during these times.

Yes, the convenience store at Casino Apache is open daily from 8am to 12am. The self-service gas pumps and car wash will continue to be open 24/7 for credit card transactions.

Yes, the Stronghold at the Inn of the Mountain Gods is open 7 days a week with the following hours:

  • Sunday – Thursday, 7am – 10pm
  • Friday and Saturday, 7am – 12am

Our Championship Golf Course is open daily, 7am – 5pm. Please be advised that the golf course will be closing for the season on December 12, 2021.

Advance reservations are required, walk-up tee times are not available.

The boat dock, Apache Eagle ZipRider, fishing, horseback riding, skeet shooting, hunting lodge and boat rentals are open with increased cleaning procedures in place. We’re asking all of our guests to adhere to social distancing guidelines and to only interact with people within their party during all activities.

The swimming pool, jacuzzi and wet/dry saunas are open daily from 6am – 1opm Monday through Thursday and 6am – 12am Friday through Sunday. After 10pm is for adults (18+) only.
