As a precautionary measure, Inn of the Mountain Gods, along with Casino Apache and Ski Apache, have decided to temporarily close our properties as part of the continuing effort to protect the health and wellness of our tribal members, team members and valued guests.
This closure will begin Wednesday, July 22 at 5 p.m. and will be in effect until further notice. Guests with hotel reservations booked during the closure period are being contacted by our hotel reservations team. For questions regarding your reservation, please call 1-800-545-9011.

Property Closure

The Mescalero Apache Tribe and related enterprises have made the decision to temporarily close. This is a precautionary measure to help keep tribal members, team members and guests healthy and safe.

Health and Safety Precautions Once We Reopen

In addition to routine cleaning, Inn of the Mountain Gods and Casino Apache have implemented enhanced cleaning procedures. These include:

  • Frequently sanitizing door handles, gaming machines courtesy phones, tables, chairs, restrooms, handrails, etc. multiple times a day
  • Posting safety and social distancing signage throughout our properties 
  • Installing plexiglass shields in close contact areas, such as the Apache Spirit Club booth, cashier cages and restaurants
  • Adding additional hand-sanitizing stations throughout our properties

Yes, masks or other face coverings are required when at Inn of the Mountain Gods and Casino Apache. For the safety of our guests and team members, masks should only be removed to eat or drink.

Our security team will be conducting temperature checks for all of our guests and team members before entering the property. Anyone with a temperature of 100.0℉ or over won’t be allowed into the property and will be asked to seek care from their healthcare provider.

Our team has been working hard to provide our players with the same great gaming experience they love while keeping everyone safe. New safety procedures include:

  • A reconfigured casino floor to encourage social distancing
  • Closing every other slot machine to adhere to social distancing standards
  • Closing bingo until further notice
  • Dedicated team members who will frequently clean and sanitize all gaming areas, slot machines and table games 

All guests, along with team members, will be required to wear face masks or coverings when visiting our properties. Please stay home if you’re not feeling well.

While visiting our properties you’ll find hand sanitizer stations available for use throughout the property. Additionally, each restroom will have instructions posted regarding handwashing etiquette to reduce the spread of germs. You can also expect signage throughout the property and in restrooms as reminders of proper handwashing protocols, personal mask application and disposal as well as reminders to cover sneezes and coughs. For their own peace of mind, guests are also encouraged to bring personal hand sanitizer and facial tissue.

Throughout Casino Apache and Inn of the Mountain Gods guests will see stanchions to signify the amount of distance they should keep between other people not in their group. This will be expected in line queuing and on the casino floor.

Smoking is not permitted at Casino Apache or Inn of the Mountain Gods at this time. Please refrain from smoking within 20 feet of the building entrances and on the casino floor.

No, your Apache Spirit Club tier status was not affected by our closure. Card statuses are only adjusted once a year in January.

In addition to our AAA Four Diamond cleanliness standards, we’re implementing new cleaning procedures to keep our guests safe and comfortable during your stay. These include:

  • Limiting the number of guests per elevator
  • Asking guests to adhere to social distancing guidelines
  • Removing non-essential items from hotel rooms
  • Disinfecting high-touch items in rooms
  • Frequently sanitizing high-contact areas in the hotel and lobby
  • Closing valet parking until further notice

Inn of the Mountain Gods and Casino Apache are here to provide you with a safe and comfortable dining experience. We’ve made some changes, including:

  • Offering to-go orders at the Big Game Sports Bar and Broken Arrow Tap House
  • Limiting our sitdown dining and lounge areas to 50% occupancy rates to safely allow for social distancing between guests
  • Increasing our frequency of cleaning and sanitizing
  • Asking guests to wear masks when they’re not eating or drinking
  • Using single-use and digital menus to keep our guests safe

For the safety of our guests and team members, we’re postponing all of our upcoming concerts and live events until further notice. We will be rescheduling all of our 2020 performances for 2021 and advise ticketholders of the new dates.

Ticket holders may request a refund at their point of sale. If tickets were purchased through Ticketmaster, refunds are now available. Please reach out to our team with any questions.

Increased cleaning procedures in place for all activities, including sanitizing high touch surfaces and equipment after each guest use. We’re asking all of our guests to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines, as well as to only interact with people within their party during all activities. 

The Spa at the Inn and the salon are closed until further notice.

Topgolf Swing Suite is closed until further notice.

Due to the hotel’s temporary closure, the swimming pool is closed until further notice.

Both the convenience store at Casino Apache and the Stronghold at Inn of the Mountain Gods are closed until further notice.
