JUNE & JULY EVENTS, ENTERTAINMENT AND PROMOTIONS FOR INN OF THE MOUNTAIN GODS

MESCALERO, N.M. (May 25, 2017) — Inn of the Mountain Gods is the place to be this summer with a roster chock-full of exciting events, entertainment and promotions sure to keep guests in good spirits through July.

ENTERTAINMENT & EVENTS
Sunday Under the Stars — Every Sunday

Families are invited to take in the gorgeous New Mexico summer sunsets with Sunday Under the Stars, a family-friendly movie screening held every Sunday evening on the lawn at Inn of the Mountain Gods. The event is free and attendees should remember to bring chairs and blankets. For a listing of movies, please call the Concierge desk 1-800-545-9011.

Laugh Out Loud at Club 49 – Every Wednesday
Guests are invited to “Laugh Out Loud” every Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Club 49’s “LOL” comedy night. Each week two new professional comedians take the stage. Wine Down Wednesdays— Every Wednesday
Every Wednesday throughout the summer Inn of the Mountain Gods invites guests to sit back, relax and enjoy a variety of wines, appetizers and live entertainment at Apache Tee from 6-8 p.m. Each week features exciting new wines and culinary creations that are sure to please taste buds. Karaoke at Club 49 – Every Thursday
Karaoke night takes place every Thursday evening at Club 49 at Inn of the Mountain Gods. Guests are invited to join the fun: whether that involves getting behind the mic or just dropping in to watch with a couple of cocktails. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and karaoke starts at 7 p.m.

Club 49 – Every Friday and Saturday
Located in the casino, Club 49 presents some of the hottest musical acts in the Southwest every Friday and Saturday night including DJ One June 2, 9 and 10; Abe Mac June 3, 16 and 17; Digumsmak June 23 and 24; and Jeremy Steding June 30 and July 1.

1852 Treaty Room – Live Music Every Friday
For late night entertainment and cocktails, visit the 1852 Treaty Room every Friday night for live music from 8 p.m. to midnight. The June line-up includes Bo Rivers June 2, Wait For What?! June 9, Vince Scarpa June 16, Vince Alten June 23-24 and Abe Mac June 30-July 1.

Wendell’s Lounge – Live Music Every Saturday
Adjacent to the restaurant, Wendell’s Lounge offers up epic views along with delicious appetizers and signature martinis, margaritas and cocktails. Live music adds to the ambiance every Saturday night from 8 p.m. to midnight. The June line-up includes Bo Rivers June 3, Wait For What?! June 10, Vince Scarpa June 17, Bo Rivers June 23-24 and Brendan Dawes June 30-July 1.

Gus Macker Basketball Tournament– June 9-11
The Gus Macker Basketball Tournament is coming to Inn of the Mountain Gods featuring a 3-PT Challenge with a $500 cash prize and a Slam Dunk Challenge with a $1000 cash prize June 9-11. The tournament will also include a double elimination and consolation bracket: the “Toilet Bowl” for teams losing their first two games. Registration will take place from 4-7 p.m. on June 9 and 7 a.m.-6 p.m. June 10. Teams are computer-matched into male and female divisions within Junior, Adult or Top categories.  Outdoor Concert featuring Lynyrd Skynyrd, Parmalee & Rodney Atkins — June 17
Inn of the Mountain Gods proudly presents Southern rock and country legends Lynryd Skynryd, Parmalee and Rodney Atkins for an outdoor concert on Saturday, June 17. The legendary rock group Lynyrd Skynyrd is known for such mega-hits as “Sweet Home Alabama,” “Free Bird,” “Working for MCA.”

Comedian George Lopez — June 18
Comedian superstar George Lopez will fill the air with laughter on Sunday, June 18 at Inn of the Mountain Gods. Arguably the biggest name in comedy, Lopez’s career encompasses standup, television, film, writing and late-night television.

Star Spangled Celebration — July 4
The biggest, longest and best fireworks show in New Mexico is returning for another celebration of our nation’s Independence at Inn of the Mountain Gods. Guests are invited to come out and enjoy an afternoon and evening of live music, barbeque food, jumping balloons and, of course, a spectacular fireworks show as it lights up the sky over Lake Mescalero. The event begins at 3 p.m. and goes till 10 p.m. The event is free for all attendees, but wristbands for unlimited access to attractions and concessions are available for $10. Free shuttle service is also offered until midnight to ensure safe transport to and from parking lots.

Clay Walker — July 7
Don’t miss multi-platinum country crooner Clay Walker, who will be taking the stage at 8 p.m. on Friday, July 7. Walker rocked the country scene in 1993 with his debut album that featured the smash single “What’s It to You,” and has since continued to make his mark on the industry. Throughout the duration of his successful career, Walker has released eleven albums and thirty chart-topping country singles, including “Live Until I Die,” “Dreaming with My Eyes Open,” “If I Could Make a Living” and “Rumor Has It.” The country star is no stranger to the spotlight, having produced four platinum studio albums and received various music awards and nominations.

The O’Jays — July 15
The O’Jays are hitting the Inn of the Mountain Gods stage July 15 with the same electrifying energy they’ve had for over 50 years. The O’Jays have been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the Vocal Group Hall of Fame, the Official R&B Music Hall of Fame and were honored with BET’s Life Time Achievement Award. Today, the songs of The O’Jays are still being used in many movies, commercials, and TV shows and are a connection to an era and a sound that formed the soundtrack for the lives of several generations.

GAMING
Fast Cash & Free Play Hot Seats – Fridays through June
Slot players have the chance to win a share of over $20,000 in Cash and Free Play with weekly hot seat drawings every Friday through June. Players must earn 20 slot base points between 1 p.m. and 10:55 p.m. to be entered into the hot seat drawing. Three winners will be drawn every 30 minutes from 2-11 p.m.

Loco 4 Locals Break or Bank – Thursdays in June
It pays to be a local this June with the Loco 4 Locals Break or Bank promotion every Thursday. Locals who earn 20 points and swipe their Apache Spirit Club card from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. or 10 a.m.-6:50 p.m. on the day of the drawing will receive an entry into the Break or Bank drawing. On Thursday, June 29, 10 winners will be selected at 8 p.m. and given $100. Each winner will have the opportunity to cash it out at the bank or take a chance at a mystery tile to win up to $2,500 in cash.

High 5’s: Spin to Win Free Spirit Play – Wednesdays in June
Players 55 and older who earn 10 slot base points every Wednesday between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. can swipe their Apache Spirit Club cards at any kiosk for entry into the Swipe and Win Promotion to win between $10 and $200 of Free Play. Seniors will receive a 50 percent off dining voucher by visiting a kiosk to print their offer, valid at Smokey B’s, Gathering of the Nations Buffet and Big Game.

Royal Races – Saturdays through September
Apache Spirit Club members who put their horse race ticket stubs into the drawing drum at the Apache Spirit Club booth and players who earn 10 slot base points between 1 p.m. and 8:50 p.m. on Saturdays will be entered into the Royal Races. The drawing will take place at 9 p.m. and winners will receive $1,000 in cash. Additionally, Apache Spirit Club members who have dropped a losing ticket stub into the drawing drum will have the opportunity to earn 10 slot base points for a second entry into the Royal Races.

Honor Our Soldiers: Stars and Swipes Bonus Points – Thursday, June 15
Honor Our Soldiers members that earn 20 slot base points between 1-7 p.m. on Thursday, June 15 will become eligible to receive 5,000-50,000 Bonus Points using their Apache Spirit Club card. Players may use their points for Spirit play, merchandise or dining where 200 points are equivalent to $1.

Test Your Might Poker Tournament — June 25 & July 16
The Test Your Might Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament gives players a chance to win the top prize of $20,000. The tournament takes place Sunday, June 25 and Sunday, July 16 at 11 a.m. in the White Mountain Room at Inn of the Mountain Gods. Early Bird registration will be held through June 16 for the June tournament and June 25 through July 7 for the July tournament. Honor Our Soldiers: Red, White, & Blue Slot Tournament – Thursday, July 20
All enrolled Honor Our Soldiers members have the opportunity to play in the Red, White and Blue Slot Tournament on Thursday, July 20 from 2-4 p.m. Players must earn a minimum of 10 points to enter once or may earn 20 points for an additional entry.

Loco 4 Locals Early Bird Klinko – Thursdays in July
Local players who earn 10 points from 6 a.m. – 10:50 a.m. every Thursday in July will have a chance to win up to $100 cash in the Early Bird Klinko. Players must earn 10 points to be eligible. A total of 3 winners will be drawn every hour from 8 a.m. – 11 a.m., each week.

 High 5’s Summer Fun Cash Cube – Wednesdays in July
Slot players 55 and older have a chance to enter the High 5s Summer Fun Cash Cube and win up to $1,250 in cash, with a total of $50,000 up for grabs for the entire month! Players who earn 10 base points from 2:30-4:50 p.m. on Wednesdays and swipe their Apache Spirit Club cards at any one of the kiosks will receive an entry into the High 5s Cash Cube Drawings. Five players will then be drawn at 4 p.m. and another five players will be drawn at 5 p.m. Each winner will enter the cash cube for 30 seconds and grab as many High 5s Dollar Bills as they can to redeem for a cash prize. Seniors will receive a 50 percent off dining voucher by visiting a kiosk to print their offer, valid at Smokey B’s, Gathering of the Nations Buffet and Big Game.

 Reel Winners – Sundays in July
Slot Players who earn 20 base points from 10 a.m.-5:50 p.m. and drop their tickets into the virtual drum at the Apache Spirit Club kiosk by 5:50 p.m. will be entered into a drawing to play Reel Winners in the month of July. Five winners will be drawn at 6 p.m. to play the reel slots and win either free spirit play or a cash prize.

7th Annual $50,000 Poker Championship Qualifying Tournaments July 5-27
Every week starting July 5 through July 27 Inn of the Mountain Gods will hold buy-in, qualifier tournaments to get the best player per table into the Satellite tournaments in August. Qualifying tournaments will be held every Tuesday and Thursday at 6 p.m. and Wednesday and Saturday at noon in the Poker Room. For more information visit InnotheMountainGods.com

Bingo – 7 days a week
Bingo is played every day at Inn of the Mountain Gods. The three-hour-long bingo sessions are from 2-3 p.m., 4-5 p.m. and 6-7 p.m. The hall has five flat-screen TVs and only 100 seats, so guests can play the completely electronic version for an even better time. Guided Mountain Bike Tours
