MESCALERO, N.M. (July 26, 2018) — Inn of the Mountain Gods is offering an unforgettable way to watch your favorite thrillers: over water, under the stars. Movie on the Lake is a free outdoor event series that features a different thriller each month over Lake Mescalero.
“We think it’s time to refresh the classic movie date experience,” said Frizzel Frizzel Jr., chief operating officer at Inn of the Mountain Gods. “If you love the drive-in movie experience then you’ll love watching your favorite films outdoors on the water. We promise it will be unforgettable.”
Movie on the Lake kicks off Saturday, Aug. 11 and will feature The Fourth Kind, a science fiction thriller starring Milla Jovovich and Elias Koteas.
The movie is free to watch, or guests can rent a boat for only $20. Boat rentals include one bag of popcorn, two candy items and one non-alcoholic beverage per ticket holder, with boats loading between 6:30 and 7:15 p.m. Movie begins at dusk. Attendees must be age 18 and over. Alcohol will be available for purchase with a three-drink limit per person. Guests will be required to sign a waiver and follow all dock rules and policies.
