HOLIDAYS ARE IN FULL SWING AT INN OF THE MOUNTAIN GODS

MESCALERO, N.M. (November 21, 2016)—It’s officially the holiday season and Inn of the Mountain Gods is celebrating with a weekend of festive events, starting with a special Thanksgiving buffet and brunch followed by the annual Christmas Tree Lighting event on Sunday, Nov. 27 beginning at 1 p.m. Additionally, Inn of the Mountain Gods is getting in the holiday spirit by offering buy one, get one free ticket to Little River Band’s performance on Saturday, Nov. 26.

Inn of the Mountain Gods provides plenty to be thankful for, with delicious Thanksgiving menus from Wendell’s Steak & Seafood and Gathering of Nations Buffet from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Wendell’s Thanksgiving Brunch menu features applewood smoked bacon wrapped turkey, grilled salmon fillets, roasted pumpkin soup and more. The meal is $47.99 for adults, $38.99 for seniors and $20.99 for children 12 and under.

Aside from brunch, visitors can enjoy a Thanksgiving lunch or dinner courtesy of Gathering of Nations Buffet. Choose from a variety of delicious dishes including a full salad bar, Thanksgiving favorites, a carving station, divine desserts and more. From Thanksgiving straight into Christmas, the holiday season rolls on at Inn of the Mountain Gods at the Nov. 27 Christmas Tree Lighting. Free to attend, the lighting starts at 1 p.m. at Barnes and Noble opens a special holiday bookstore at the resort, followed by pictures with Santa, cookies and hot cocoa at 3:30 p.m. and culminates with the tree lighting at 5:30 p.m.

Despite numerous changes in lineup and music direction, Australia’s Little River Band has seen unprecedented success, consistently landing top 10 hits throughout the 1970s and 80s with singles like “Reminiscing,” “The Night Owls” and “Lonesome Loser.”
