Dr. Seuss Day

When: Saturday, March 2

Where: Inn of the Mountain Gods

Celebrate the wonderful world of Dr. Seuss with readings and fun during this family-friendly occasion from 9 am to noon Saturday, March 2. Just be sure to bring our child’s favorite blanket and a pillow! Tickets are $10 and include breakfast served between 9 am and 10 am. Get your tickets for Dr. Seuss Day.

New Mexico Casino Promotions and Tournaments for Spring

Bring your luck to the Inn of the Mountain Gods Casino this spring! This New Mexico casino will be offering several spring casino promotions and hosting several tournaments and poker. When you sign up for the Apache Spirit Club, you will receive even more opportunities to win big this spring. The Wizard of Oz at Spencer Theater

Where: Spencer Theater for the Performing Arts

Grab your tickets to The Wizard of Oz at Spencer Theater in Alto, New Mexico. The Spencer Theater rendition of this timeless classic will include special effects transporting viewers to the land of Oz. Tickets start at $79 per person with showtimes at 1 pm and 7 pm on Sunday, March 10. There will also be a honey-glazed spiral-ham buffet at 5 pm. The buffet is not included with ticket purchase. When: Friday, March 15 and Saturday, March 16

Where: Wingfield Park, Ruidoso

For two days, enjoy mouthwatering, fall off the bone barbecue perfected by some of the best pitmasters in the nation! Thousands of attendees are expected to be on hand for this Kansas City Barbecue Society sanctioned event. Local breweries and wineries will also be on hand serving up libations, and live music, children’s activities, and local food options will also be available. A rising country music star and platinum-selling artist, Brett Young will perform live at Inn of the Mountain Gods Friday, March 15. Well-known for the hit “In Case You Didn’t Know”, Young has maintained a faithful following, with sellout shows and numerous award nominations. Tickets start at $39. Doors open at 8 pm.

When: Saturday, March 16

Where: Inn of the Mountain Gods

Touring for his Don’t Tread on Me Tour, Granger Smith will make a stop at Inn of the Mountain Gods for a live musical performance. He recently toured with Luke Bryan and his lead single “Happens Like That” recently entered the Top 20 for country radio. Tickets start at $29 per person and the show starts at 8 pm. 

Girlfriends Wandering Market

When: Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24

Where: Ruidoso Convention Center

Grab the girls and head the Ruidoso Convention Center to find handcrafted jewelry, vintage decor, boutique goods, artisan designs, and much more! Admission is $5; children 5 and under are free. The market is from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday, March 23 and 11 am to 5 pm on Sunday, March 24.

Live Music: Mickey Gilley and Johnny Lee

When: Friday, April 5

The country duo of Mickey Gilley and Johnny Lee will perform live at Inn of the Mountain Gods, April 5. The duo is well-known for their chart-topping hits from the 1980 film Urban Cowboy. Each musician has their fair share of accolades including 20 #1 hits. Tickets start at $29 and doors open at 7 pm. 

Live Music: Yolanda Del Rio & Beatriz Adriana

When: Saturday, April 6

Where: Inn of the Mountain Gods

See two of the most successful ranchera singers in the world when Yolanda Del Rio and Beatriz Adriana visit Inn of the Mountain Gods. Tickets start at $29. Doors open at 7 pm.

When: Saturday, April 13

Where: Grindstone Lake Trail System

12 Hours in the Wild West is not for the faint of heart, but it is a thrilling event to witness! This mountain biking event pits contestants to ride across the Grindstone Lake trail system, reaching up to 1,200 feet in elevation. The race starts on Saturday, April 13, but there are plenty of events available for kids and anyone not in the race.

Where: Hondo Iris Farm

Spring has truly begun once the Hondo Iris Farm Festival begins! This month-long festival will display over 400 varieties of iris blooms throughout the farm. Hondo Iris Farm has a hummingbird porch, a goldfish pond, picnic tables, a botanical garden, and a gallery displaying folk art and clothing from around the globe. Admission is free to attend. Rio Bonito Folk Fest

When: Saturday, May 4

Where: Fort Stanton Historic Site

Visit the Fort Stanton Historic Site for live folk music, local food vendors, kid’s activities, and New Mexico craft beer and wine tastings.

Live Music: Los Rieleros del Notre

When: Friday, March 10

Where: Inn of the Mountain Gods

One of the oldest norteno bands still performing today, Los Rieleros del Norte, has created popular norteno hits for years. Based out of Ojinaga, Chihuahua, the band fuses saxophone and accordion in their music, creating hits like “Te Quiero Mucho” and “Un Juego”. Tickets start at $25 and doors open at 7 pm.

Cats the Musical at Spencer Theater

When: Tuesday, May 14 & Wednesday, May 15

Where: Spencer Theater for the Performing Arts

For two nights, Spencer Theater in Alto, New Mexico will feature Cats, a theatrical classic and the winner of 7 Tony Awards. Tickets start at $79 per person for each day.

Where: Ruidoso Convention Center

For four days, the Ruidoso Convention Center will host the 22nd AspenCash Motorcycle Rally. The weekend will be chock-full with live music, a trade show, vendors like saddle makers and biker apparel, beautiful bikes, and good times. Single-day passes are $15 per person and all-access rally passes are $45 per person.

Flying J Ranch Opening Day

When: Friday, May 24

Where: Flying J Ranch

Feel like a real-life cowboy when you visit Flying J Ranch in Alto, New Mexico. The ranch puts on shows and activities for all ages Monday through Saturday throughout the summer, including classic western music performances, gold panning, deputy training school, pony rides, shops, and much more! Tickets are $27 for adults, $15 for children ages 4-12, and admission is free for children under 3. Tickets include a delicious chuck wagon supper. 

All American Country Music Festival

When: Friday, May 31 thru Saturday, June 1

Where: Wingfield Park, Ruidoso

New Mexico’s biggest country music extravaganza will be back for two nights of great music, delicious food, cold drinks, and good times. The All American Country Music Festival is in its second year and is sure to leave viewers raving until next year’s festival. This year’s music fest will include musicians Joh Nichols and the Randy Rogers Band. General admission tickets start at $35 per person per day and $55 per person for the weekend. There are also several ticket packages available including VIP.
