Celebrate the wonderful world of Dr. Seuss with readings and fun during this family-friendly occasion from 9 am to noon Saturday, March 2. Mountain Smoke BBQ Festival

Where: Wingfield Park, Ruidoso
For two days, enjoy mouthwatering, fall off the bone barbecue perfected by some of the best pitmasters in the nation! Thousands of attendees are expected to be on hand for this Kansas City Barbecue Society sanctioned event. Local breweries and wineries will also be on hand serving up libations, and live music, children’s activities, and local food options will also be available. Zia Rides: 12 Hours in the Wild West

Where: Grindstone Lake Trail System
12 Hours in the Wild West is not for the faint of heart, but it is a thrilling event to witness! This mountain biking event pits contestants to ride across the Grindstone Lake trail system, reaching up to 1,200 feet in elevation. The race starts on Saturday, April 13, but there are plenty of events available for kids and anyone not in the race.

Hondo Iris Farm Festival

Spring has truly begun once the Hondo Iris Farm Festival begins! This month-long festival will display over 400 varieties of iris blooms throughout the farm. Hondo Iris Farm has a hummingbird porch, a goldfish pond, picnic tables, a botanical garden, and a gallery displaying folk art and clothing from around the globe. Admission is free to attend. Rio Bonito Folk Fest

Live Music: Los Rieleros del Notre

One of the oldest norteno bands still performing today, Los Rieleros del Norte, has created popular norteno hits for years. Based out of Ojinaga, Chihuahua, the band fuses saxophone and accordion in their music, creating hits like “Te Quiero Mucho” and “Un Juego”. Tickets start at $25 and doors open at 7 pm.
Cats the Musical at Spencer Theater

AspenCash Motorcycle Rally

For four days, the Ruidoso Convention Center will host the 22nd AspenCash Motorcycle Rally. Flying J Ranch Opening Day

Feel like a real-life cowboy when you visit Flying J Ranch in Alto, New Mexico. The ranch puts on shows and activities for all ages Monday through Saturday throughout the summer, including classic western music performances, gold panning, deputy training school, pony rides, shops, and much more! Tickets are $27 for adults, $15 for children ages 4-12, and admission is free for children under 3. Tickets include a delicious chuck wagon supper.
All American Country Music Festival
When: Friday, May 31 thru Saturday, June 1
Where: Wingfield Park, Ruidoso
New Mexico’s biggest country music extravaganza will be back for two nights of great music, delicious food, cold drinks, and good times. The All American Country Music Festival is in its second year and is sure to leave viewers raving until next year’s festival. This year’s music fest will include musicians Joh Nichols and the Randy Rogers Band. General admission tickets start at $35 per person per day and $55 per person for the weekend. There are also several ticket packages available including VIP.
