Movie on the Lake
Saturday, August 11
Guests can watch their favorite movies while floating over the water and under the stars. This 18 and up event kicks off Aug. 11 with the science fiction thriller, “The Fourth Kind,” and will no doubt be an unforgettable night. The movie is free to watch, or guests can rent a boat for only $20. Boat rentals include one bag of popcorn, one non-alcoholic beverage and two candy items, with boats loading between 6:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. Movie begins at dusk. Alcohol will be available for an additional cost.

One of the most popular funk groups of the ‘70s, War freely melds soul, Latin, jazz, blues reggae, and rock influences into an effortless and eclectic symphony. The group is known for always keeping the groove loose, in fact, many of their studio songs were edited together out of longer improvisations. They are best known for such hits as “Low Rider,” “Why Can’t We Be Friends?,” “Spill The Wine,” “The Cisco Kid” and “Slippin’ Into Darkness.” War continues to draw large crowds, either on the nostalgia group tour or playing at festivals internationally. Famed Elvis impersonator Justin Shandor is returning to Inn of the Mountain Gods on Saturday, Aug. 26. Justin Shandor’s uncanny physical and vocal resemblance to Elvis Presley has brought women to tears and audiences to repeated standing ovations proving he’s as close as you’ll get to the real deal. He made his national TV debut in 2013, performing on the David Letterman Show in front of an estimated 3.5 million viewers. Shandor came in first place at an invite-only contest held in Memphis to determine the best Elvis impersonator in the world, and Graceland named him “World’s Ultimate Elvis!” Guests don’t want to miss this chance to get up close to the legend himself. Sunday Under the Stars – Sundays, August 5 & 12
