Mescalero, N.M. (May 4, 2016)— Nestled in the mountains beside picturesque Lake Mescalero, with summer temperatures that rarely exceed 89 degrees, Inn of the Mountain Gods offers the perfect mountain getaway. Following a year that saw more than 35 national and international entertainers take the stage at Inn of Mountain Gods, culminating in a nomination for Casino of the Year from the Academy of Country Music, the Mescalero Apache owned resort and casino is upping the ante in 2016, boasting even bigger talent across a multitude of genres and styles. In addition to outstanding entertainment, Inn of the Mountain Gods and Ski Apache continue to play hosts to the region’s most unforgettable events.

Sunday Under the Stars – Every Sunday from May 15 to August 7
Inn of the Mountain Gods’ renowned summer family tradition returns May 15 with Sunday Under the Stars. Live music begins every Sunday at 6 p.m. followed by a showing of a new family-friendly movie on the lawn after sunset. Check out InnoftheMountainGods.com for artist and movie announcements.

Gabriel Iglesias – May 26 (ADDED SHOW) and May 27 (SOLD OUT)
Comedian Gabriel Iglesias takes the stage at Inn of the Mountain Gods May 26 and 27. Performing since 1997, Iglesias has produced five stand-up television specials, has headlined comedy festivals across the world including the second-ever Amman Stand-up Comedy Festival in Jordan and has landed hilarious cameos in some of Hollywood’s biggest films like “Magic Mike XXL.” Often applauded for his family-friendly brand of “nice guy” comedy, covering everything from obesity to the comfort of Hawaiian shirts, Iglesias will have audiences laughing when he gets behind the mic at Inn of the Mountain Gods on May 26 and May 27 at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $35 and can be purchased at InnoftheMountainGods.com.

Memorial Day Bash at Ski Apache – May 28
After wrapping up the ski season in April, Ski Apache will kick off summer operations with a Memorial Day Bash on Saturday, May 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Enjoy local food and craft vendors, live music and plenty of family fun. Bring the family for an afternoon complete with inflatable attractions like hose hockey, oversized inflatable darts, and the agility challenge Jacob’s ladder. Conquer the 28 foot climbing wall, or go to battle in the Nerf® arena complete with Nerf® weapons and ammunition. Unlimited access to the Memorial Day Bash games/obstacles can be purchased for $15, or $5 per game/obstacle. Gondola rides can be purchased for the regular price of $18 for adults, $12 for children, $6 for seniors (70+) and are free for children 5 and under. Wind Rider Music Festival Reloaded at Ski Apache – June 10 & 11
Following the success of the inaugural Wind Rider Music Festival in 2015, Ski Apache proudly presents the Wind Rider Music Festival Reloaded June 10 & 11, 2016. Featuring 14 of the Southwest United States’ most talented artists, this year’s festival is headlined by alternative rock band Hoobastank, best known for their 2004 certified gold single “The Reason.” A limited quantity of Early Bird Adult Passes are available for $35 and will rise to $40 once they have sold out. Tickets for children ages 9-14 are $15, children 8 and under are free. Festivalgoers who want to stay on the mountain can purchase AdultPlus tickets for $65, which include access to campsites and unlimited access to the Ski Apache gondola. Oak Ridge Boys – June 4
Their sound is one of the most distinctive and recognizable sounds in the music industry. The four-part harmonies and upbeat songs of The Oak Ridge Boys have spawned dozens of Country hits and a Number One Pop smash, earned them Grammy, Dove, CMA, and ACM awards and garnered a host of other industry and fan accolades. Every time they step before an audience, the Oaks bring four decades of charted singles, and 50 years of tradition, to an exciting stage show. Come out and hear hits like “Elvira,” “Bobbie Sue,” and “American Made,” from one of the last and greatest traditional country vocal groups that have stood the test of time. Bill Engvall – June 19
Bring the whole family to the Inn of the Mountain Gods this June when Bill Engvall delivers his family-friendly brand of comedy. An all-around family man and blue collar American, Engvall’s heartfelt stories about family life have had audiences of all ages crying with laughter for two decades. Over his 26-year career Engvall has released 11 live albums, most notably 1996’s Platinum certified “Here’s Your Sign” and 1998’s Gold certified “Dorkfish.” Fans can hear him talk about family vacations, embarrassing his now fully-grown children and more when Inn of the Mountain Gods welcomes Bill Engvall to the stage on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 19 at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $35 and can be purchased at Innofthemountaingods.com.

Star Spangled Celebration, the Largest Fireworks Show in New Mexico – July 4
Inn of the Mountain Gods honors our nation’s independence with the annual Star Spangled Celebration and fireworks show overlooking Lake Mescalero Monday, July 4. Festivities begin at 3 p.m. with classic American barbeque, jumping balloons, rock climbing, obstacle course slides and free face painting. Guests can purchase an all-inclusive wristband for $25. At 5 p.m. family-friendly live entertainment commences until the sun goes down then, to cap off the day, New Mexico’s largest fireworks display, bigger and longer than years’ past, will illuminate the sky when 10,000 fireworks glisten above Lake Mescalero; free for families to enjoy. Theory of a Deadman – July 14
Hailing from western Canada, Theory of a Deadman formed in 2001 during the hard rock fervor caused by fellow Canadian group Nickleback. The four-man piece broke into mainstream success with their second album “Scars & Souvenirs” in 2008, which produced eight top 10 singles including the number one hit “Bad Girlfriend” and earned Gold certification from the RIAA. While past albums have dealt primarily with themes of crazy relationships and partying, the band’s most recent release “Savages” sees a more mature band tackle contemporary issues, like the desensitization to violence. Mountain Man Challenge at Ski Apache – Aug. 6
The time has come to find out who the true master of the Sierra Blanca is with Ski Apache’s Mountain Man Challenge on Saturday, Aug. 6 at 10 a.m. Contestants will race up the mountain, across streams and through obstacles to rescue the golden egg at the top. Once the egg is in hand, competitors must safely return their egg to the designated nest in the Ski Apache plaza. Whoever can return their intact egg to the plaza in the fastest time will be crowned King of the Mountain and receive a cash prize. The competition is split into two divisions, a Leader Division for men and women over the age of 15 with a $1,000 grand prize and a Youth Division for mountaineers 15 and under with a $125 grand prize. Chris Tomlin – Oct. 8
Chris Tomlin, one of only four contemporary Christian music artists to ever score a number one album on the Billboard 200, is coming to the Inn of the Mountain Gods on Saturday, Oct. 8. Hailing from Grand Saline, Texas, Tomlin has released eight albums over his 23 year career, garnering two RIAA gold certifications, two platinum certifications and four top 200 albums, most notably 2013’s Burning Lights, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 thanks to singles like “Whom Shall I Fear [God of Angel Armies]” and “God’s Great Dance Floor.”. Tomlin’s other hit singles include 2004’s “How Great is Our God,” which peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot Christian Songs chart and “Our God,” which spent 10 weeks at the number one spot on the Hot Christian Songs chart in 2010.
