MARCH ROCKS AT INN OF THE MOUNTAIN GODS

Mescalero, N.M. (March 1, 2016)—Inn of the Mountain Gods is the premier entertainment destination this March, welcoming hard rockers Shinedown on March 12, rising country star Randy Houser March 18, and classic rockers Kansas on March 19.

Formed in 2001 in Jacksonville, Fla. Shinedown vaulted to mainstream rock success with their debut album Leave a Whisper, selling more than 1.2 million albums in the United States alone. Their sophomore effort, Us and Them, saw massive success as well, eventually becoming certified Gold by the RIAA in 2006.

After minor line-up changes, the band returned in 2008 with their most successful effort to date, The Sound of Madness, selling 50,000 in it’s first week and peaking at number eight on the Billboard 200 charts. Their most recent release, Threat to Survival, debuted in September 2015 and features the hit single “State of My Head.” Shinedown takes the stage at Inn of the Mountain Gods on Saturday, March 12 at 8 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at InnoftheMountainGods.com starting at $30.

Like many country stars before him, Randy Houser’s career began behind the music, writing hit songs for the likes of Trace Adkins, Justin Moore, and Chris Young. It wasn’t until 2008 that Houser hit the stage, releasing his debut record Anything Goes to rave reviews and a top 40 spot on the Billboard Hot Country charts.

Since his 2008 release Houser has produced two full albums, including 2013’s number three country album How Country Feels, featuring the number one single “Runnin Outta Moonlight.” Houser’s most recent release “We Went,” is the first single off his highly anticipated fourth album, Fired Up, due out this March. Fans of the country star can catch him at the Inn of the Mountain Gods on Friday, March 18 at 8 p.m. Tickets are available at InnoftheMountainGods.com starting at $30.

March ends with a journey back in time, to the days of longhaired rock stars and tie-dye shirts, when rock legends Kansas come to Inn of the Mountain Gods. Rising to national popularity in the early 1970s, Kansas has produced eight certified Gold albums including the multiplatinum megahits Leftoverature and Point of Know Return.

Fans of the more than 40-year-old rock band can hear their most iconic singles like “Carry on My Wayward Son” or “Dust in the Wind” when they take the stage on Saturday, March 19 at 8 p.m. Tickets can be purchased starting at $30 at InnoftheMountainGods.com.
