Warrant and Winger will be rocking out at Inn of the Mountain Gods on Friday, January 20. Soon after their formation in 1984 in Hollywood, Warrant took the country by storm, producing five glam metal albums that reached international sales of over 10 million. The band first came into the national spotlight with their double-platinum debut album, Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich, and the single “Heaven,” which reached No. 1 on the Rolling Stone charts and No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. The band continued to make heads bang into the early 1990s with another double-platinum album, Cherry Pie, which provided the unforgettable hit and music video of the same name.
Winger harnessed the power of two popular metal genres—glam metal and progressive metal—to inspire a new way of rocking out. Formed in New York City, Winger gained popularity with two platinum albums, Winger and In the Heart of the Young, along with charting singles “Seventeen,” “Headed for a Heartbreak,” and “Miles Away,” which put the band at the top of the charts by the early 1990s.
