Job Summary: The purpose of this position is to ensure hardware and software systems stay up to date, reliable, and secure. Regularly monitor and evaluate system performance to proactively identify potential problems and make recommendations for modifications or upgrades to improve system performance. Maintain system security by testing and installing updates, patches, and implementing appropriate permissions based on the concept of least privilege.  Effectively troubleshoot and repair system faults. Install new hardware and software and maintain and upgrade existing hardware and software. Plays an integral part in a variety of system projects and tasks. Works closely with Systems Administrator II.

Job Qualifications: Required Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Systems, or related technical discipline. Relevant CompTIA, Microsoft, or equivalent certification required. Minimum one (1) year of proven hands-on systems administration experience, administering, configuring, securing, and supporting enterprise system environments; experience with Casino/Hotel systems is a plus. Required to have a solid and thorough understanding of installing, configuring, securing, troubleshooting, and monitoring a variety of hardware and software systems. Required to have a solid understanding of standard protocols related to Windows Domains, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, etc. Required to be “on call” for 24 hour availability. Required to adhere to all business and IT policies and procedures. Must have a strong customer focus and demonstrate ability to work within a team environment. Must be a logical thinker with effective analytical and problem-solving skills to visualize and implement solutions to difficult problems. Must possess excellent attention to detail. Must be able to follow processes and instruction thoroughly. Must have great communication skills, excellent time management skills, strong documentation skills, and business awareness involving a 24×7 enterprise. Must have a commitment for high service quality and customer satisfaction. Must work well under pressure with strong multi-tasking skills.

Mescalero Apache Tribal Preference. Bi-cultural experience preferred.
