Job Summary: The Network Technician II is responsible for installing and maintaining all computer networks. The Network Technician II analyzes the cost to build various needed networks and then prepares the network layout. This includes local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and specific cabling needs such as Ethernet Cat-5, Fiber Optic, RJ-12, and Coaxial Cables. The Network Technician will work with all associated software and hardware monitoring tools to ensure the network infrastructures reliability. The Network Technician II will also establish disaster recovery plans in case the networks malfunction. The Network Technician II will administer and support all computer networks and troubleshoot problems of the in-house systems, hardware, and software related to the casino sound system, TVs, channels, hotel guest side of network services and systems, as well as the business side of network services and systems. Systems include, but not limited to Bartech, NevoTek, SiriusWare, Windows Server/Client OS, music, Internet, Intranet, WebSense, Micros, Opera, and IT Helpdesk System.
Job Qualifications: : Electrician experience with low voltage wiring; High school diploma with certifications and/or technical trade school in discipline; 3 year or more experience with Casino/Hotel Resort, networks and infrastructures; Required to have a solid understanding of operating platform software systems; Required to have a solid understanding of Network Active Directory and MS Exchange Email System; Required to be “on call” for 24 hour availability; Required to adhere to all business and IT policies and procedures; Must have a strong customer focus and demonstrate ability to work within a team environment; Must have a commitment for high service quality and customer satisfaction; Must work well under pressure and strong multi-tasking skills; Desired to have a graduate degree in technical field and/or equivalent experience; Desired to have certification with Cisco Networks and/or Microsoft; Desired to have certifications for A+, Network+, Dell Service Authorization. Desired to have knowledge and experience with AS400 platform, VOIP, multi-line phone systems and network security systems.
Mescalero Apache Tribal Preference. Bi-cultural experience preferred.
