Job Summary: The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for the overall appearance and cleanliness of guest rooms and public spaces throughout the Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort and Casino in accordance with the enterprise’s standards, ensuring that the property’s appearance aligns with leadership’s expectations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and are subject to change at management’s discretion:
Plans the work assignments of housekeeping departments, distributing duties accordingly.
Assists in the preparation of, and manages the housekeeping departmental budget.
Organizes and verifies all inventories necessary for optimal quality in guest rooms and public spaces. Exercises effective cost control measures. Develops and implements all departmental policies and procedures. Recruits, trains and oversees team member onboarding, day-to-day activities, and scheduling. Oversees all corrective actions within the department, assisting in performance goals for team members. Responsible for scheduling to ensure all guest room are prepared for new arrivals in a timely manner. Performs daily inspections of the enterprise’s facilities and guest rooms. Addresses guest complaints efficiently and effectively. Coordinates preventative maintenance and deep cleaning of all guest rooms. Performs regular audits of work assignment throughout the facilities. Prepares reports for Director of Hotel Operations as requested. Engages in special assignments and prepares reports as instructed by senior leadership.
Job Qualifications: Associate’s degree in Hospitality Management or five years of experience in a hospitality setting. Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year-for-year basis. Eight to ten years of experience in hotel operations with at least three years of supervisory experience in a similar role. Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills. High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software. Demonstrated personnel supervision including goal-setting, mentoring. Strong written/verbal communication skills, problem solving, mediation, coaching, and consulting skills. Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.
Mescalero Apache Tribal Preference. Bi-cultural experience preferred.
