Job Summary: The Benefits Coordinator is responsible to oversee best practices for benefits that attract employees and reduce turnover. The incumbent is responsible for researching what benefits motivate employees, by developing and implementing appealing rewards and tailoring benefit programs based on staff need, while possessing solid knowledge of labor legislation and familiarity of organizational make-up and employee engagement for the Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort and Casino through job analysis and position description under the instruction of the Director of Human Resources. Administer IMGRC’s employee benefits program, which may include retirement plans, leave policies, wellness programs, and insurance policies such as health, life, and disability. Oversee enrollment, renewal, and delivery of benefits to the organization’s employees. Monitor government regulations and market trends to ensure that the benefits programs are current, competitive, and legal.
Job Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business with preferred major in Human Resources; or Associate’s degree plus five years of experience managing comprehensive benefits program including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Dental, Vision, 401(k) administration. Accounting and reconciliation experience a must. Professional HR certification, or completion within six months from start date, preferred.
Requires experience in benefits program management for large organization of 500+ employees. Requires expert knowledge in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point. HRIS and report writing experience required. Requires excellent written and clear communication skills. Ability to decipher team member needs and requests while providing clarity and direction to acknowledge and resolve concerns. Ability to handle sensitive and personal issues, build trust with team members/management with full understanding of HIPPA. Must have proven records of dependability of performance, pass pre-employment drug screening, and must pass pre-employment criminal background investigation. Oversee communication of benefits information to the organization’s employees. Ensure that pay and benefits plans comply with federal and state regulations. Administer an organization’s employee benefits program, which may include retirement plans, leave policies, wellness programs, and insurance policies such as health, life, and disability.
