MESCALERO, N.M. (Oct. 5, 2021) — Inn of the Mountain Gods will host the 9th Annual Stepping into a Better You Health Fair Saturday, Oct. 16 with free family events from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The annual health and wellness event includes a variety of informational booths, free health services, as well as the opportunity for attendees to participate in their own health with a 5K walk/run.
“Each year our goal is to help inform our community about the wide variety of health care resources and options that are available in our region,” said Frizzell Frizzell Jr., Chief Operating Officer at Inn of the Mountain Gods. “Residents should know that they don’t have to drive all the way to Albuquerque or El Paso to find top-tier health care services. We have some of the best right here.”
The health fair offers attendees an opportunity to gather important information on health and wellness, including alternative treatments and medicines and men and women’s health. Attendees can also receive their COVID-19 vaccine, flu shots and get a mammogram. Entry to the event is free.
Registration for the 5K Memorial Walk for Life begins at 1:30 p.m. with the walk kicking off at 2 p.m.
