MESCLAERO, N.M. (May 21, 2021) – The largest Gus Macker tournament in New Mexico is returning to Inn of the Mountain Gods Saturday, June 5 through Sunday, June 6.
Each team has four players on their roster, with three players on the court at a time. Teams are computer matched into divisions by age and gender, with male and female divisions for juniors (age 18 and under), adults (age 19 and older) and a top division reserved for the most skilled players.
“Hosting this tournament every year is one of our favorite traditions and seeing how much good it does for our community is an added bonus,” said Frizzell Frizzell Jr, Chief Operating Officer at Inn of the Mountain Gods.
All proceeds will benefit the Stepping into a Better Your Health Fair and the Mescalero Apache Boys and Girls Club. The tournament will also feature a slam-dunk competition and 3-point shootout. VisitMacker.com for more information on rules and registration.
