MESCALERO, N.M. (July 12, 2019) — Inn of the Mountain Gods in Mescalero, New Mexico, has earned the AAA Four Diamond Rating for the third consecutive year, securing its standing as the only resort in southern New Mexico to receive this designation.
The Four Diamond Rating places the property in extraordinary company, as only six percent of the more than 78,000 inspected and approved hotels are awarded that ranking. Including Inn of the Mountain Gods, there are presently just 15 AA Four Diamond destinations in the state of New Mexico.
“We’re thrilled to have been acknowledged once again as one of North America’s select accommodations,” said Frizzell Frizzell Jr., COO of Inn of the Mountain Gods. “This esteemed award directly correlates to the hard work and attention to detail that our extraordinary team puts forth day in and day out.”
Set in an astounding mountain oasis in the Sierra Blanca range, Inn of the Mountain Gods is highly sought after by southwestern travelers for its lush wilderness, thriving traditions, endless activities and luxurious accommodations.
In the past several years, the resort casino has invested in the property, adding exciting amenities like the Apache Wind Rider ZipTour at its sister resort Ski Apache and Apache Eagle ZipRider over Lake Mescalero at Inn of the Mountain Gods. The resort casino also invested $2.4 million in room renovations, added the Broken Arrow Tap House and recently opened The Spa at Inn to enhance the guest experience even more.
