Ski Apache Opening Day – Dec. 7
Ski Apache has plans to begin its 51st season Friday, Dec. 7, weather permitting, and looks forward to hosting a slew of snow lovers this winter as it debuts two new chairlifts and a new Gondola, The Apache Arrow. While work is still underway on new lifts at the resort, the all-new Capitan quad is expected to open in December. Kumbia Kings – Nov. 24

The hugely successful group originally from Corpus Christie, Texas, is known for performing a mix of Mexican cumbia, R&B and hip-hop music in both English and Spanish. Christmas Tree Lighting – Nov. 25
Inn of the Mountain Gods hosts its annual Christmas Tree Lighting event Sunday, Nov. 25 from 2:30 – 6:30 p.m. Free hot chocolate, coffee and cookies decorated by the Mescalero Apache High School Culinary Program are served to all guests, and five expertly decorated gingerbread houses will be auctioned off to benefit the Mescalero Apache School Culinary Program. Pictures with Santa begin at 3:30 p.m. followed by a performance by the Ruidoso Middle and High School Choirs at 5:30 p.m. The tree is lit promptly at 6 p.m. and all are encouraged to enjoy this kick-off to the Christmas season.
Kenny Rogers – Nov. 30
Country music legend Kenny Rogers visits the Inn of the Mountain Gods Friday, Nov. 30 at 8 p.m. With a career spanning more than 50 years, Rogers is known for some of the biggest hits of the 20th century including “The Gambler,” “Lucille,” “Ruby Don’t Take Your Love to Town” and “Islands in the Stream,” a duet with Dolly Parton. Rogers has earned more awards than one can count, taking home the “Album of the Year” award at the CMT Music Awards as recently as 2007. Having performed to critical acclaim at SxSW, Bonnaroo and the CMA Music Festival in 2012, Rogers is currently recording a new album and is celebrating the release of his autobiography, “Luck Or Something Like It – A Memoir.” Rogers has sold more than 120 million albums throughout the course of his career and has had 21 top-10 country albums. Vince Neil – Dec. 1
Former Motley Crüe front man Vince Neil is as well known for his hard rocking early work as for his solo projects. Neil began performing in 1980, joining Motley Crüe in 1981 and releasing his first solo album in 1992. The band reunited in 1997 and released a fifth album “Generation Swine.” Neil has continued to release solo work throughout the years and is currently on tour playing dates throughout the United States.
