AUGUST EVENTS, ENTERTAINMENT, PROMOTIONS AT INN OF THE MOUNTAIN GODS

Mescalero, N.M. (July 25, 2016)— Inn of the Mountain Gods has the best of both worlds this August. New entertainment, events and promotions call guests inside, while Lake Mescalero and the surrounding mountains offer adventure outside. Take an exhilarating ride over the lake on the Apache Eagle ZipRider or hit the links at the Championship golf course. Over at Ski Apache guests can get a rush on the Apache WindRider ZipTour or take a hike through the beautiful terrain.

ENTERTAINMENT:
Sunday Under the Stars – Through August 7
Inn of the Mountain Gods’ summer family tradition, Sunday Under the Stars, begins every Sunday at 6 p.m. with live music followed by a showing of a new family-friendly movie on the lawn after sunset. Visit InnoftheMountainGods.com for artist and movie announcements.

The Bellamy Brothers & Gene Watson – August 21
The Bellamy Brothers & Gene Watson will be coming to Inn of the Mountain Gods, Sunday, August 21. Starting in the late ’70s, the Bellamy Brothers found success in country music, charting 20 No. 1 singles and more than 50 hits overall on the country charts. Gene Watson continues to prove why he is rightly referred to as “The Singer’s Singer.” He is most famous for his hits “Love in the Hot Afternoon,” “Fourteen Carat Mind” and his signature song “Farewell Party.” Don’t miss this incredible night, full of country hits at Inn of the Mountain Gods on Sunday, August 21. Doors open at 7:00 p.m., and the show starts at 8:00 p.m. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets start at just $25.

LOCASH – August 22
Don’t miss LOCASH Monday, August 22 as they hit the stage at Inn of the Mountain Gods with their greatest hits. This American country music duo, comprised of songwriters and vocalists Chris Lucas and Preston Brust, has released singles, including two Top 40 hits on Country Airplay: “Keep in Mind” and “I Love This Life.” The duo also co-wrote Keith Urban’s No. 1 single “You Gonna Fly” and Tim McGraw’s Top 10 hit “Truck Yeah.” Tickets start at just $20.

Justin Shandor Elvis’ Blue Hawaii– August 27
Enjoy dinner and a show with Justin Shandor August 27. Guests will hear some of the greatest Elvis Rock ‘n’ Roll hits of all time, including “Jailhouse Rock,” “Blue Suede Shoes,” and “Suspicious Minds” as if they were being sung by the King himself! At just 16 years old, Shandor began his career impersonating The King at the Elvis-a-Rama Museum in Las Vegas. In February 2013 he made his national TV debut, performing “Can’t Help Falling in Love” during Elvis Week on the David Letterman show. Justin Shandor will rock the night August 27. Doors open at 6 p.m. for the luau-inspired dinner and the show will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $50. Dinner will feature a variety of mouth-watering side dishes, a romaine salad and tropical fruit salad, sesame and honey glazed salmon with scallions, Polynesian style barbeque chicken with a mango barbeque sauce, teriyaki marinated ginger beef and for dessert an upside down pineapple coconut cake.

Moonlight ZipTour – August 17
Soar over the mountain at Ski Apache under the Mescalero stars. Ski Apache will be hosting another Moonlight ZipTour August 17. Guests will take a ride during the day then return for an evening of fun complete with Moonlight ZipTour and country style buffet dinner. Fireball Whiskey Outdoor BBQ – September 3
Join the Casino Apache Travel Center for the Fireball Whiskey Outdoor BBQ that will showcase their new Fireball-inspired entrees. Guests will be treated to delicious BBQ, draft beers, fireball shots, music from a live DJ and giveaways on Sept. 3, from 1-9 p.m. Choose from the Fireball BBQ Plate for $15.99 or the Fireball BBQ Burger for $10.99.

4×4 Frenzy – Through August 31
Earn points Sundays, Thursdays and Fridays in August at Casino Apache and Inn of the Mountain Gods for a chance to win one of two 2016 Ford F-150! Earn 50 player points for one entry into the final drawing. Plus, earn five times the entries on Wednesdays. The final drawing will be at Inn of the Mountain Gods Wednesday, August 31 at 7 p.m. where two lucky players will have a chance to win the brand new F-150. See Apache Spirit Booth for details.

Cans for Kids – August 2-31
Get rewarded for helping local children in need Tuesdays and Wednesdays at Inn of the Mountain Gods and Casino Apache Travel Center. Players who bring in five food items will get five times the points and players who bring in three food items and two jars of peanut butter will receive seven times the points on their Spirit Club Card.

High 5’s Wind of Cash, Cash Cube – August 3-31
Wednesdays in August players 55 and older will have a chance to enter the Cash Cube and grab as many fake dollar bills as possible to redeem for cash. Point earn from 1 p.m. -3 p.m. Drawings are at 2, 3 and 4 p.m. at Casino Apache Travel Center.

Dinnerware Gone Wild – August 4-25
Thursdays in August are going wild. Players who earn 20 points from 4 p.m. -7:55 p.m. on promotional days at Casino Apache Travel Center will take home a new piece of dinnerware. Players take home an elk coffee cup August 4, a caribou salad plate August 11, a deer dinner plate August 18 and a moose bowl August 25. Players also have a chance to win a Cabela’s dinnerware set.

Fall into Cash Hot Seats – August 5-26
Fall into Cash this August with Friday hot seat deals. Twelve winners will take home their share of $1,000 each week. Players who earn 20 points will receive one entry into the Hot Seat drawing. There will be drawings every 30 minutes from 6 p.m. -11 p.m. at Casino Apache Travel Center.

Break or Bank – August 5-26
Every Friday in August at Inn of the Mountain Gods players who earn 20 points will receive one entry into the Break or Bank final drawing August 26 at 9 p.m. Ten winners will be selected for a chance to win $100 cash or take a chance to win up to $3,000.

Hot August Nights – August 7-28
Sundays in August at Inn of the Mountain Gods players who earn 50 points will receive one entry into the weekly drawing at 7 p.m. Ten winners will be drawn each week to choose a tile from the prize board, revealing their cash prize.

Royal Races – Through September 3
Apache Spirit Club members who visit Casino Apache Travel Center Saturdays, until September 3 between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. can win up to $1,000 cash with Royal Races. Every 10 points earned on your Apache Spirit Club card earns one entry into the 8 p.m. cash drawings. Those who participate in horse race bets can place their ticket stub into the drawing drum for an additional entry.

TournEvent of Champions – August 1-26
Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at Inn of the Mountain Gods players can get into the TournEvent of Champions. Point earn from 2 p.m. to 5:50 p.m. on promotional days. The top 10 winners of the weekly slot tournaments, held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., will take home up to $250 in Free Spirit Play as well as a golden pass into the final drawing. Players will have a chance to win up to $2,500 cash and represent Inn of the Mountain Gods with a VIP trip to Las Vegas to play for $1 million.
